Based on my experience, I would not be recommending this company to anyone.
Our move didn't go as well as expected. We ended up with damage to the bottom of the mattress, the head and foot boards of our king bed set. I disassembled the set and made it ready for the move so I can guarantee that this damage occurred during the move. This was only noticed by me as i helped move the pieces into the bedroom. The damage want acknowledged until I said something. At that point an email was given to file a compliant. I reached out to the company and was told that the refund would be minimal. Their claim is that it didn't happen from their guys. After refusing the first and second offer as unacceptable no decent resolution has been made. I acknowledged the fact they need to make money and didn't think my request for a 50% refund was unreasonable given the cost to repair the damage. I used Let's Get Moving based on the reviews I read and the fact I like to support local business. The crew was highly unprofessional. I watched one on the guys moving large heavy objects by himself.

As an update, I received a call from Lets get Moving 2 months to the day after our move. They decided that it was time to offer the 50% refund that I initially asked for. As is probably the norm, you will be asked to sign a release stating that if you in any way hurt their business a fine of 5000.00 could (and after dealing with this company, most likely would be) be levied. Also they request that the bad review be taken down. I was quick to point out that I would not be taking own the review. I think any company that tries to hide the truth isn't worth dealing with. Perhaps owning the issue upfront and providing proper customer service in the beginning, the review might have been different.. Caveat Emptor..

Let’s Get Moving Kitchener
I was so upset with my experience and subsequent follow up using Let’s Get Moving in Kitchener, that I decided to wait some weeks before posting a review. I wanted to be factual and not emotional.

Suffice it to say – I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this company for your moving needs.
Although it was an extremely hot day in June 2024, and the 3 gentlemen worked hard, it was clear to me they were unorganized and inexperienced regardless of claims to the contrary. Standard use of blankets, dollies, binding ropes etc were not employed. Furniture and boxes were placed on wet ground for loading. Furniture was loaded in a haphazard way so that upon arrival at my new location, much of it was unloaded onto the front lawn in order to gain access to items in the back that needed to be moved first into the home. Once placed in my new home, boxes were dumped and piled in precarious ways. I would have been better off renting a 26 foot truck myself and paying a few guys to do the job.

I have engaged professional movers 4 times in the past. Those experiences left no question in my mind that this is the way to go – get the professionals – its worth the money.

Not true for Let’s Get Moving Kitchener.

This move took thirteen hours despite having the same number of contents as previous moves. In this case, there was not enough room in the truck for my contents due to poor planning and organization and had to rent a U-Haul at the last minute. There was a lot of damage (and missing parts) to some of my furniture. My home office desk furniture was missing parts (lock mechanism for file cabinet) and most items scratched. My bedroom dresser, side table and bedframe were extensively scratched. Two of the dresser drawer bottoms were broken.

Even though the company claims there is liability insurance, I was offered $100 to “buy paint” to touch up “surface scratches”. I continued to escalate, and the offer was increased to $150 only if I signed a waiver stating I would not negatively review on social media or be fined $5,000 by them?

*Revised - I was missing a couple of items from the move and contacted the company and I am pleased with the customer service that I received. They were very helpful and we came to a mutually agreed upon resolution. I am impressed with their customer service and prompt communication and highly recommend using their services.

I am so glad that I hired a moving company to assist with my recent move. I had 4 movers and they worked hard! It took awhile to get the job done and thankful that I hired them to assist with the move.

Very positive experience with this company. We decided to get some help with our move, Lawrence walked us through the process and set us up with pricing that was fair. On the day, Harman and Rehant were friendly and professional, and they worked very hard to make sure all of our pieces were moved carefully, quickly and with no damage to our spaces.

I hired Let's Get Moving for my mom's move from her house to her apartment as she was downsizing. From the initial call, I was provided a reasonable hourly cost for a move that was only going to be a 5 minute drive away. Other providers were quoting me way more money with a 6-8 hour minimum. On the day of the move, Yusuf and team arrived within the scheduled window and got right to work even working through pouring rain and a tornado warning! Once we arrived at the apartment, all items were brought upstairs with care and placed exactly where my mom wanted them - even with a few on the fly changes the team was happen to accomodate. They even reassembled the bedframes for us which saved me time. The hallway into the apartment unit was narrow but they worked around it. I couldn't recommend Lets get moving more and hope to use them again in the future.
