I write this review because I was very pleased. I was recommended to go to Maxwell's Auto Repair by another Bancroft garage. I was told Maxwell’s mechanics have a depth of experience able to handle 1980’s VW vans. My experience at Maxwell’s was great! I scheduled an appointment at a specific date and time 1-1/2 weeks into the future. At the appointed date and time, the mechanics were ready when I showed up. AND—I waited for the repair and service to be done. The outside is deceiving. I had a dealership experience where projects are properly scheduled while the service is performed. There was no clamour of owners and vehicles showing up at the same time that I did. There was no leaving the vehicle in the hopes they could get it in. In my opinion, when a garage is run smoothly, there may be time/ room for hidden or extensive repairs, not to mention the emergency repairs that sporadically come along. It is refreshing to see a capable garage with great service that is run well.

My husband and I are so grateful to Maxwell’s! We were visiting the area for the first time and decided to go for a scenic drive with our dogs when our battery light came on. We called Maxwells and they were able to help us immediately. They were able to diagnose and replace the alternator within an hour and a half. What made it even better was their recommendation to turn off the heat, lights, etc. which helped us make the twenty-five minute drive there where our vehicle died out front rather than on the highway where we would’ve had to tow!Super friendly and professional service. The 4x4 locked up on my Silverado and the Chevy dealership wouldn't take me in, even for 15 mins, to reset the transfer case. So, I went to Maxwell's and they squeezed me in the same day. Very nice mechanic and they obviously put people first. Highly recommended.

Returning from vacation, we had a breakdown in Bracebridge, got a tow to Bancroft and left it with them on a Sunday hoping for the best. Maxwell's squeezed us in and got us going again as promised. Service was great and the price was very reasonable.

My husband called and they told him to bring the truck in the next day and within an hour of being there, the truck was looked at, new part was ordered and then installed! Great service!
