McEwans Light / Heavy Towing & Hotshot Service - Havre Boucher, Nova Scotia

I was on my trip driving from Newfoundland to Ottawa. My vehicle's engine gave up on the high way (engine light flashed and vehicle lost power, and yes you can imagine the frustration).

I called for McEwan's service as the Google Map showed their business was only 400 meters away from my parking location. Gentleman showed up in two minutes and helped me in EVERY WAY he could - he tried to read the error code on my engine (to get some rough idea on the issue), called around to find a garage that would look into my vehicle in time (as I just passed by the area and absolutely knows nobody or any local business), towed me over to the garage and then even dropped me off to a nearby McDonald's.

I would never forget the helps from this business on that day, and the lovely young man/owner, T***n (I probably wouldn't type the name here, but it will be always in my heart and it will be mentioned many times when I share the story with the family).

I have typed a lot but I don't think words could express my appreciation. I wish this business, McEwans Towing & Hotshot Service goes a long way. All the best to the people there and their family.

As a solo female traveler, when my truck broke down at sunset, hundreds of kms away from anybody I knew, on a Sunday (everything was closed) I was utterly terrified, I was incredibly lucky enough that Tyson and his family happened to be parked two spots down from me. Being the caring people that I now know them to be, they completely saved me! Instead of being stranded in the middle of nowhere all on my own for the night, Tyson towed my car to a safe location, found me a place to stay and helped me fix it in the morning (the issue was one spark plug being loose but he replaced all four!)

I was on my way by 10am the next day and able to catch my ferry! I highly recommend Tyson and his business, he is a kind but also very professional person. I hope anybody in a situation such as mine finds his business. These people are the salt of the earth and I could not recommend them more.

Driving home on Christmas Eve, I locked my keys in the car. McEwans Towing was there in 10 minutes and had the car open within 60 seconds. Excellent service, excellent company. Five stars!
