the moving company employee and myself was exceptional and they arrived where and when they said would. They handled my belongings with care. Moving can be very stressful and I very much appreciated their punctuality, professionalism and pleasant personalities. I would highly recommend this team of movers. Nibia did my move from Calgary to Vancouver and I highly recommend them.
The team is very responsive and communicative and are willing to work with you and find the best solutions for your situation. Marina was always on top of the communications and I never had to wait too long for a response to any question I had.
They came out to start my move in very horrible weather with a lot of snow and everything was still perfect with no delays.
They delivered my stuff right on time when they said they would with absolutely zero damage to any of the items.
10/10 moving experience and they were very well worth it.

My experience with Nibia Movers was horrible. When I called for a quote, I was told there is a flat rate travel fee and they lead you to believe it covers the cost during travel from house to house. But in reality you have to pay for each minute they are at your home and each minute your belongings are in their truck. The company rounds up in 15 minute increments when they charge for time. When the movers are finished they called their manager to inform him. This call took 2 minutes but I had to pay for an additional 15 minutes which cost me $40! Packing the truck was overall a horrible experience. I had 3 movers and they did take few couple breaks (that I had to pay for) and they barely dragged their feet. One worker did not do much the first couple hours, standing in the house scrolling his phone, while the other 2 workers were loading the truck and occasionally dropping pieces of my furniture on the ground.

The movers said they were going to stop for a break when they left my old place and they would meet me at the new house. When they got to my new place, they said they did not stop for a break, which was odd because it took them A LOT longer to get there, even though they left 15 minutes earlier and I never passed them on the road. When they started unloading furniture they were even slower than before. The only things I wanted them to move upstairs were a couch and a television. The workers complained about moving things upstairs saying “please don’t make me take this upstairs. I’m old and tired”. They tried to milk sympathy out of me, but this is the job I paid them over $1200 for. I had them leave many of my items in my garage that needed to go inside because I felt bad for the old and frail people that Andrey sent to this move. They took breaks, making personal phone calls and smoked cigarettes.

These breaks included in the time I paid for. I did complain about this to the manager and he told me I was being unreasonable to expect them to work without a break, when all I said was I should not have to pay for them taking breaks, not that they should not take breaks. After a long discussion with the manager he did end up refunding me for ONLY ONE 15 minute break (after he checked the GPS and saw they did take one). When I was putting my bed together parts of the bed frame were gone, I ended up finding them broken, in the grass where it was dropped by a mover. A drawer in a nightstand was cracked in two pieces, legs of a table had been chipped and scratched, and my king-size mattress was dropped in the mud during the move.

The movers left empty beer cans in an empty garbage can at my new home. This means the workers were either drinking alcohol on the job or cleaning out their moving truck, moving their garbage into my new house. I felt like that was rude for them to leave trash at my house when I was not living there and had no trash can set up for household trash. I can imagine that the truck gets inspected after it is returned to the yard and they don’t want their manager to find out they were drinking on the job. I addressed the drinking with the manager when I sent pictures of my broken furniture and the manager told me I was only complaining to try to get money returned. At one point the manager (Andrey) got very loud and rude over the phone and I had to remind him that he’s supposed to be professional with his customers. He then lowered his voice, but never apologized for the drinking alcohol on the job or for the broken furniture. He said I could fill out a claim form and they would review it to see if they could provide compensation. The experience was so bad that I did not want to have to speak to Andrey Butenko again so I did not fill out the form and had my items repaired myself, because other online reviews show they NEVER pay for the damages they cause. No one from the company bothered to follow up with me after the move. I will NOT be recommending this company. It was quite costly to have had such an awful
experience and to deal with such unprofessional employees.
