This serves as a definitive example of what the absolute minimum requirements and features constitute being called a bus terminal. The Oshawa Centre Terminal is a simple bus loop with 6 glass "windbreaker" bus stop installments. The view overlooks a eyesore array of concrete formed pathways, walls, structures, overcrops ranging from dingy gray to "sea-sick pale" greenish-gray that is sure to. displease all but the most dissociated or opiated passerby.

Its pretty clean though.

Hey it's gorgeous Sunshine today, and the weather is 28°C, not a cloud in sight.
In Canada we also get snow, and Ice and even in warm weather, rain!
A huge renovation to Oshawa Centre, and the Bus transfer is open to the elements. Still. Hmmm.
No passage into the covered parking Mall Entrance? There's this huge blank wall beside the trash compactor, and yet, they didn't make a passage into it for Bus loop patrons to get out of the elements. There isn't even coverage if you go up the stairs, to entrance 7! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Can ANY planner remember that there are four seasons in Canada? What about a dome over the bus loop? The shelters are a cruel joke. And by the way, no one is laughing.

It is 2018, perhaps Durham Region Transit will discover that providing up to date information is technically possible today, and put up ever changing displays that help passengers in real time.

And here's a thought for Transit… Operate a shuttle service directly to The—newly renovated—Oshawa Centre, from Oshawa Train Station - VIA Rail… for convenient shopping availability. And while you're at it, run the Pulse [Eastbound & Westbound routes] down INTO the Oshawa Centre Terminal. To sync with the (future) shuttle too. Schools almost out, so make it safe, and convenient for students to get back to school ready. Another thing; why not utilize the cat walk currently against the train (CP rails?) overpass of the 401: for public pedestrians, to access that ‘Smart Centre’ on Laval, at Stevenson more directly from Oshawa Train Station - VIA Rail?
You know that road; Consumers Dr, is about to join Laval… or something? Help make it easy for alternative modes of travel to get from VIA rail, to the ‘Smart Centre.’ It would be nice to have quick access to those food venues on Laval and walk to the train in under 30 minutes. Without having to walk down 53, over the 401, around the clover-leaf, back on 22 past the hotels, and a long stretch—MISSING bus stops on Bloor! (Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!)—past… mostly industrial units. Waste. Of. Time. Rather make it like… Hike along Laval Dr, then down Fox St, use the cat walk beside the rails on the bridge, [put a bus stop at 656 Bloor Westbound and 659 Bloor Eastbound? Right under the Bridge. There is space to construct ramps, and elevators, so that pedestrians can get off the bridge and down to ground level on the Westbound side, and no one has to cross the road, for continuous traffic movement. And the roadway between the curbs is a touch wider at this spot] and THEN a short stint on Bloor. Which seems much more efficient for pedestrians.
Now [2018] that there's the PC gov't back in Ontario: get those corporations benefits from the public's usage. Yes, Oshawa is NDP, so get those Unions to work building these projects, and driving these shuttles!
Aye eye eigh… where is planning, and why are these public meetings for discussions and opinions so rare! Blah.

Oshawa Centre is fantastic for all of your shopping needs. There is no need to travel into Toronto to do your shopping if you live east of the city.

Lots of buses end up here so you can go lots of places. Only annoying thing is when the buses 'jockey for position' in the line up and slam the door in your face so they can pull up and then let you in. Lol.

It's a huge un-friendly walk to go around the mall if you were shopping and wanted to walk around outside.
