Cela fait 14 ans que j'utilise le Para Transpo comme personne à mobilité réduite.Le service en lui-même est une grande contribution de la Ville d'Ottawa aux personnes à difficultés diverses.C'est donc une prestation essentielle.Elle dessert une grosse population de gens en besoins.Cependant la gestion en général est médiocre.Les conducteurs en général ne suivent pas les règles de bonne conduite et les règlements.Ils ont des réactions à l'humeur du jour (grumpiness-based reactions).
C'est désolant et c'est inacceptable.Ils ont un devoir envers la Ville et envers les clients qui sont des usagers comme tous les autres de OC-Transpo,à la différence que les "ramassages" sont de porte à porte.Pour ma part,une éducation civile doit être enseignée à ces conducteurs,surtout ceux des Van accessibles.La plupart sont des immigrants comme moi et réagissent avec sauvagerie,selon leur jugement étroit,ignorant leur devoir lié au travail qu'ils font:assurer le transport des usagers.

What a horrible service. The idea of having transportation for those with accessibility needs is great however the ability to actually execute and help people Is significantly lacking Amd honestly frustrating.
It feels like its all about the money and the bottom line.
The people paying and using the service are the ones suffering and being late to appointments and their activities.
I have called multiple times and waited on hold for hours (it stated 25 min wait- after 1.5 hours I finally got through)
My clients have paid a significant amount for tickets and were over an hour late. This is happening consistently.
The 15 minute window is consistently pushed so by the time the clients are loaded on to the bus and leaving its closer to 30-40 minutes over initial time. Today for example- While going to the event that should have taken 20 minutes to get to, para showing up 25 mins after pick up time, multiple stops were added and getting to the event, my clients missed their dinner and the beginning of their performance. (This was with booking 1.5 hours ahead)
When the driver was asked he stated its out of their control when stops get added last minute. This is ultimately so frustrating. Our clients can't advocate for themselves and have to rely on others to get them to their destinations but how often are they late because of inconsistencies such as this.

The insurance reason I use this service is because there are no other options. I understand that with any government entity, there will be issues not present in the private sector. However the customer service is none existent. I've been spoken down to by sevral reps. Drivers don't seem to be able to find addresses properly. Trips are routinely late with 0 explanation as to why you end up waiting double the expected wait time.

Had para for crps, fibromialgia and a bunch of other mobility issues. They randomly ended my necessary service for permanent conditions without a word or even a letter. I've been without it for a year now and they are discriminating against me and abusing my child who i haven't been able to take anywhere since being cut off. This includes all healthcare, daycare, play groups, cheo appointments, etc. CHEO has been bending over backwards to work around this limitation by doing home visits for certain things. I am unable to get the same home services for my own issues so I have been completely unable to do any medical appointments in person and it has to be by phone/video.

I call them today again to find out what the status is as my social worker from the general hospital reactivated it 6 months ago yet it remains unusable. They lied to me on the phone and accused me of yelling. (I have severe chronic pain which affects my tone in sudden ways which I have no control over, so more discrimination.) The lie is that they claim nobody has contacted them to reactivate which I can prove is not true. I did yell at the end of the call because I was so frustrated by the disgusting behavior.

Then I get a voicemail from security by the name of Simon saying they have many concerns. I call security to ask for Simon who didn't provide their last name. They said that no Simon works there. Since then Simon keeps spamming my phone with half-ring calls I couldn't possibly answer in time.

These people should research the Human Rights Code and follow it. Im filing with HRTO for discrimination. I am reporting the child abuse to CAS. I am reporting them for their lies which I consider fraud. And if this Simon who allegedly works at para transpo security micro-calls me one more time I am making a police report for harassment. I am so totally done with society and its negligence.
