It was a very big deal for my wife and I when we moved from our family home for the past 25 years. After considering several different moving companies, we decided to go with Personal Movers. We’re very happy with our decision. Solo and his team were great - professional, friendly, organized, careful with our things, and hard workers. We had a very rainy day, and the team just rolled with it. It didn’t slow things down other than to take precautions to protect some items. Alfred was very helpful getting us a quote, answering our questions, and organizing things. The team was on time and everything went smoothly. We would highly recommend Personal Movers.

The 2 movers were great! We had booked last minute and they were on time, efficient, and careful with all of our belongings and used all the necessary equipment. We had a full 20’ U-Haul for reference. Very affordable and they made our move so stress free! Highly recommend these guys!

Read your contract carefully!. Personal Movers are essentially not responsible for any damage to your home or possessions.
They sent us two teenagers for our move. Nice boys, but they had to be coached to do basic things like lifting an antique chest by its base, not it’s decorative handles, and turning a rectangular table at right angles to get it through the door. There was damage damage to our walls and to a teak bedroom set that had obviously had something heavy dropped on it. When I spoke with the company rep, Alfred, he told me He would send a written copy of the $50 he offered to have these things fixed. That was nearly 6 weeks ago and I have heard nothing from Alfred.
Definitely recommend finding another company.

Personal movers sure and some of the guys are great but really should go and work for another moving company. The company owner Alfred is anything but professional when your valuable items get damaged and takes zero responsibility. Even accused us of damaging our own items and freshly painted walls ourselves!

The movers that took apart our furniture were not the same ones who were sent the remaining days to reassemble and had no clue on how to do that. Our daughter’s bunk bed was attempted to be put back together with bolts not even screwed in making it completely unsafe to use. My husband had to take his own time to fix this as well as our own bed and tvs that were also not reassembled properly! We paid by the hour for the movers to safely put our furniture back together not for us to that!!

Due to the damaged furniture and ZERO plan and responsibility on Alfred’s part we held back the remaining payment. We asked him for the plan on repairs but instead of telling us what that would be he continued to email and text us at least 5 times a day demanding payment. He then went ahead and unauthorized charged our credit card. Now that he has his money it’s exactly what we knew would happen, no responsibility is taken and we are left with our damaged furniture. Moving is stressful enough do yourself a favor and use a company that takes responsibility for damage caused and doesn’t hang onto your credit card information to charge unauthorized!

Personal Movers were fantastic with our move from a 4-bedroom house. The team of four movers was strong, punctual, and incredibly friendly. They handled everything with such care, wrapping all our items in blankets and putting down runners to protect the floors. Not a single thing was damaged.
