The guys were very rushed and kept talking about getting back to their families. One urinated all over my toilet seat, my latch on my electric fireplace was broken and a broken crystal glass. A few scuff marks due to rushing and not a good experience over all. They didn’t reassemble the things they were supposed to because they said they could not find the screws. I would never request their services to move my dog house.

Giving two stars and not one because the delivery guys were great. Otherwise, I probably will not do my next move with Premiere, mostly because expectations were continually not met due to failures of communication throughout.

We thought lower weight would mean lower cost. Our contract simply said that the final cost would be determined by weight, and every indication was that lower weights cost less. We were even encouraged to get rid of furniture to lower the weight given in our walkthrough estimate (they sent us a guide to lowering our weight). We were surprised then to see that in the end the weight cost was the same as the estimate despite being 800 lbs less. Turns out, as weight goes down the cost per lb goes up, a lot in fact. And our estimate was right at the breakpoint for the lower weight bracket, meaning even one pound less put us in the higher cost/lb bracket. I didn't figure this out until I saw the final invoice and asked, because it's not in the contract or explained in the terms and conditions shared with us before the move. It could have been communicated much better in advance. We wasted so much time selling and throwing away furniture and now need to waste more time and money buying new furniture, and it didn't save us any money.

There were unexpected additional charges, as well. The day after the movers had already taken our stuff, we were told that they checked our destination address and determined that the truck would not be able to enter that neighborhood and we would need a shuttle for an additional charge. That was unexpected, because Premiere had known our address well in advance of the move. I'm not sure why they weren't able to communicate this to us earlier. We assumed they'd already verified all the associated charges before taking our belongings.

There was also an erroneous charge in the invoice that took over a month to get resolved. We were clear that we would do the packing ourselves but were charged a packing fee. I had to follow up multiple times because repeated assurances that it would be dealt with "next Monday" or "shortly" etc. kept falling through. It took one day to fix after escalating with Atlas.

That's glossing over other smaller commucation issues as well. Again, the delivery guys were great, though, and we had no damage to our belongings on delivery.

Supervisor didn't read my email and didn't schedule my move. Had to arrange a crew and van at last minute. Crew arrived 2 hours late with van that was too small. Crew were slow and inefficient. Took 10.5 hours to do a similar move that previously took 8 hours.
Took half hour with 3 men to put bed frame together and then had it backwards and too wide so had yo redo it for another half hour.
Terrible move . I rate it a one.

I contracted with Premier Van Lines for a local move, and they were fantastic! It started with a great sales consultant who answered all my questions, told me many things I hadn’t thought of, and emailed me helpful information for planning my move. The Operations team continued the great service and kept me well-informed in the days leading up to the move. On the day of the move, the moving team arrived on time and were amazing - quick, cheerful, professional and a real pleasure to work with. Several hours after the move, I noticed I was missing the shelf from my coffee table, which had obviously been overlooked on the truck. Because I was busy with other things, it was a couple of days before I called the company about it, and I thought odds were good it might well be lost by then. However, they were quick to track it down, and delivered it to my door in perfect condition the next morning. I will definitely use these guys if I move again!

Used this company for my last two moves. Crew is great and Neil is calm and knowledgeable which takes away a lot of stress. Also, job came in under the quoted price.

I can highly recommend Premiere vans for your moving needs. They were professional and very pleasant to deal with from the start. Everything was straight forward and the move was scheduled and executed smoothly and without a hitch. The movers themselves were polite and helpful. They asked for my input as they went along which was very impressive. All of my belongings were wrapped with care and not a thing was damaged. If you are looking for professional help with moving then look no further! 10/10 Service!

Based on my experience with premier van lines, here are some things I wish I had known before I booked them (single woman, 30’s, local move). This all might be industry standard stuff, but I still wish I had known before I chose this company:
•They start charging from the moment they leave their warehouse in Dartmouth. Depending on where you live/traffic that’s quite the charge before they even arrive at your door, when I booked they charged $229 per hour + tax, might be more now.
•Double check the number of movers quoted on the estimate will be the number of movers showing up on the day. I was quoted a price for 4 movers, but only 3 showed up for the first half of the move. Which meant the move took longer. And again, they charge by the hour.
•Ask to see paperwork literally the second the movers arrive. I didn’t see any paperwork throughout my move, which resulted in hundreds of dollars of charges for incorrect timings, and boxes and materials that weren’t used but were listed on my invoice. It took months to have these charges even partly corrected.
•Ask for your invoice ASAP. I didn’t see an invoice until I noticed my credit card had been charged and had to ask the office staff send it to me. This was at least a month after the move, when we were right in the middle of disputing several issues. It was very frustrating to be charged when I had no idea what the total was, or the breakdown of the charge.
•My movers only used furniture wrap on maybe 2% of my furniture, even though the company promises to wrap all wooden and leather items, so several wooden items got scratched. Ask them to wrap everything you care about.
•If you’re having furniture disassembled/reassembled watch the movers do this on both ends. I only had 2 beds that required this service and both were ridiculously poorly reassembled. Part of a bed frame was literally left on the floor and the mattress put on top of it because they lost the screws needed to secure things in place and never mentioned it. Other screws were simply placed in place, and not screwed in. They also used my own tools, they did not have their own.
•Essentially watch the movers do literally everything and make sure it’s documented, because if you have to start emailing the office it took me anywhere between 3-15 business days to receive any kind of response to each email. And it is very difficult to get them to acknowledge your issues, if you mention 5 things, they will maybe respond to 2. I had to get my credit card company involved to get any kind of actual resolution and am currently waiting for a response to an email sent in December 2022.
•If anything goes wrong (scratched furniture, missing items, furniture not reassembled properly) you will have to pay a $100 deductible before they will do anything at all. This is for them to ‘process the insurance claim’, except they send a repair man to see if things can be repaired before they file an insurance claim. But they won’t send their repair guy until you pay the $100. So you have to pay $100 for their repair guy to come and fix things their movers broke, even if they never file an insurance claim.
•I made assumptions about this company based on other reviews here, and when things went wrong, I assumed my issues would be dealt with efficiently and effectively because of this company’s reputation. My experience with this company did not match up with the other reviews, nor the prices this company charges.
