June 12, 2025. I was unable to make another review so I edited this one. We had the house painted and the painter used Benjamin Moore paint from this store. After less than five years the paint is peeling off. I have photos but I cound't add them. Very poor quality paint.

Here's the deck 9 months after staining it with Benjamin Moore stain. The owner responded to my initial review by telling me that it was too hot and humid when I stained the deck - it was all my fault! Strange how no one at the store thought to tell me this when I was there buying stain.

Poor quality, overpriced stain and even poorer customer service. I followed all the instructions, allowed three days between coats and another three days before putting back the patio furniture. The stain started to peel off immediately. I can mark it with my finger it's so soft. Contacted the store and was told the owner would phone - never did. Obviously they don't care about customers who aren't pleased. I'll use Home Hardware , where they believe in customer service, in future.

Two fantastic ladies dealt with me. They were very knowledgeable and experienced and professional. They fixed an order that another store had incorrectly mixed. They didn't even charge me. This is a small town friendly store that exudes excellence and has lots of repeat customers with both large and small orders. I will be coming back for sure.

Excellent help and insight. She was wonderful to speak with and get the colour matching I needed for a house paint. Ample selection of paint supplies and very knowledgeable. Parking ia limited but not a problem.

With the help of Brittany I had picked up colour swatches, and felt it was a great time to help and support local business.

This store offered the convenience of curb side pick up, and I elected to call and place my order. I was met by Brittney who greeted me first by phone, and than proceeded to approach me in the parking lot, with neither the mannerism, time or grace to answer my questions. Instead I was berated by Brittney who wanted to tell me what I wanted, instead of understanding what I needed.

When I shared with Brittney that I had purchased paint before, however was not sure why I was being offered paint for a high traffic, when I was looking for a "flat" product for a "low traffic area". I was confused and simply was trying to understand why this new line was being suggested. Instead I was meet with "well if you know our product than you should order your paint properly" and "we are very busy and I don't have all day to spend with you"

Wow is all I can say.

Perhaps Brittany has not read her employers commitment to their customers,

"We thank you for choosing us over the numerous box stores and corporate stores out there. We promise to provide the highest quality service and to take the time to work with you."

Have chalked this encounter as someone who has a wealth of knowledge but minimizes the impact her (poor) customer service skills can have on small business.

I am a supporter of PEC small businesses, but not local business that treat people poorly just because they feel they can under the protection of a family umbrella.

Absolutely amazing service !! Was looking for a product that had been discontinued and they had it!! Lady that helped me was so friendly and helpful!! A breath of fresh air!!

Apparently their online and posted hours of operation mean nothing...

It's a Saturday, we are in the middle of a big project at the cottage and just before 3pm we ran out of paint. I checked online and the hours of operation said they close at 4pm on Saturdays. So I raced into town, which happens to be a 20 min drive one way. I got there by 3:30 and to our surprise the place was closed. The hours on the sign said they are open until 4pm, but apparently the person working felt like shutting it down for the day. No note on the door to explain, just doors locked and lights out. Wonder how often this happens. Don't post hours on google or your website if they are not going to be followed. If no hours were posted I certainly would have called first, instead of waste my time and gas. I have no use for unreliableness, I won't be back.
