I recently visited this hospital for my wife one day surgery and had an excellent experience. The staff were absolutely amazing—professional, respectful, and incredibly kind. The entire place was spotless and very well-organized. From the moment I walked in, I felt taken care of and in good hands. Big thanks to everyone for their dedication and care! especially for Dr. Shireen Hussein.

I traveled to this hospital from Ottawa for a day surgery. The staff is phenomenal! They individually introduced themselves, explained their role, and asked if I had any questions. Very relaxing and welcoming place, especially when you're away from home.

I attended RVH on January 2nd completely energy-less and out of fight to battle a severe infection, the staff treated me absolutely incredible and just over 24 hours later I have energy again, am already feeling better from the infection and have reducing swelling by over half. The pain and symptoms had literally crippled me from doing any tasks, sleep or activities, the doctor was extremely detailed and very quick to start a treatment program for my infection. The care and attention to detail is simply the best as are the staff, cannot thank them enough for the help.

Came in as I fell down the stairs at home
They took me in right away did all kinds of X-rays and scans turns out I had a broken wrist
I am so thankful for the cleanliness, the organization, and the wonderful staff and doctor, who took care of me during my stay I can’t say enough about this Hospital thanks again to all the caring staff

My partner had a bad cut on his finger that needed stitches/glue, which takes like 5-10 mins to do.. Arrived at 6:30 to a not busy ER. Got into the procedure room at 12 am. Left at 2 am since we literally saw NO ONE coming. Asked the receptionist multiple times and they just said "we will be with you shortly. People who checked in after us got seen first and were out of there before us. 9 hours of waiting for nothing. Never coming back.

I’ve been to this hospital numerous times since moving to the county. I’ve had practically nothing but bad experiences. Where do I start, I had an extremely bad infection in which my skin felt like leather and was purple. The triage nurse didn’t even bother taking my blood pressure as per procedure, whenever I saw the doctor he simply poked the purple flesh on my leg following it up with “it’s contact dermatitis” then proceeded to write a prescription for steroids. Even with the severity of my symptoms and increasing inability to walk, he didn’t even order mere blood work. I went back the very next day and had another doctor confirm it wasn’t contact dermatitis and was in-fact some type of viral infection, though not even he decided to do anything about it or order follow up tests. Most recently I waited 4 hours in the emergency waiting room, which would’ve been quite reasonable if I had received the proper care. I spoke with the doctor for about 10 - 15 minutes, until she said that she wasn’t sure and to use topical steroid cream on an unknown rash. Every-time I would try to explain my symptoms that went hand in hand with the rash, she would shut me down and say “is that what you want to focus on, or is the rash more important?”. Since this visit my symptoms continue to get worse, as well as the rash has not stopped spreading even with her ‘helpful’ recommendation of steroid cream. On top of that I discovered I waited an extended period of time due to the triage nurse summarizing my reason for being there as “nose bleeds”. Even when I had to get stitches for a large wound in which I almost lacerated the major vein in my thigh, I had to wait an extended period of 6+ hours. Majority of the staff here have absolutely no respect or compassion for their patients. Since these experiences I’ve developed an extreme anxiety and paranoia about my health and hospital care, as I know if I get an infection minor or severe Renfrew Victoria Hospital will not do the slightest thing to help. Please listen to the cries of the people whom are certainly considered victims of this hospital, situations such as mine or more severe are legally considered medical malpractice.

Horribly corrupted, I went here multiple times for Havana syndrome and they keep calling me a schizophrenic, the police, the nurses, mental health will not trigger and investigation. I will be taking everyone to court by next week.

I’m not one to complain, however what happened tonight is unacceptable. i’ve heard the horror stories of rvh firsthand, my grandfather had a broken back (3 vertebrae’s bursted) and they sent him home twice and he almost became paralyzed. however i decided to visit emerge, my brother went to the arnprior hospital 3 days prior for a throat infection and i had the same symptoms so i went in. triage nurse melissa was amazing, but after waiting an hour and a half, ( not that bad) dr.david came in and was immediately condescending and rude, i miss heard him and he made rude and snarky remarks like “didn’t i literally just ask you that”. the first thing he said to me was just so you know i’m the future we will only be seeing real emergency’s at night. i understand you are busy and have to prioritize, but 90% of people don’t have a medical background and can’t tell. a little hospitality goes a long way and being nice is free.
