We hired River City Moves to complete a fairly complicated multi-city move from Powell River to Vancouver with multiple stops and pickups. They were very fast and very affordable. They arrived right on time, handled our stuff with care, and even moved an extra couch that as not part of the original load. They made a move to the 14th floor that had me nervous a breeze.

Our place in West Vancouver was difficult access, with a narrow entrance to back the truck into, and two levels of outdoor stairs to navigate on a hot summer day. We are quite particular, but from the get go it was obvious Bob and his team knew what they were doing, and it was a great comfort to feel we were in good hands as the process of moving is always stressful enough as it is. To sum it up, I would say they were reliable, efficient, friendly, and professional. Very reasonably priced as well. Altogether all you could ask for!

I strongly discourage anyone from using this company. The move has been a nightmare. Besides missing boxes i have scratches and damage to my furniture and personal items some of which are not repairable or replaceable.

I urge you to kearn the name of Bob Tindle's insurance company before you hire this company to move your belongings - and to get a receipt after you pay cash, including GST amounts.

We asked them to move a piano and they came the same week. They needed another helper so they had to come back a couple days later. But then they got the job done quickly and didn't charge any more money for the extra visit.

*BE WARNED* Absolute crooks. Bob is extremely rude, disrespectful, and inconsiderate. He’s about as greasy as they come. Do yourself a huge favour and hire someone else, ANYONE else.

1 point for Showing up, then told my Mum (a senior) he could not do the job because it was too difficult, would take too long and he was refusing. He had himself plus 3 guys.

Don’t worry though my daughter and husband, my Mum, myself plus some of my Mum’s friends have done it with our half ton truck. Should be completed by 2 this afternoon.

Very poor service.. the owner (old guy) guy comes and agrees to move my stuff for a charge and books a date..
Later when it was time to move, he came along with his people and looks at the exact stuff and complains to have more stuff in the room. Where as the reality was - I haven't been in Powell River for 3 months , and he came and saw the things to be moved 4 days ago.

I lost 2 days traveling and the money loss for ferry and staying in Powell River..

Never ever hire these guys .. and I am planning to sue these guys for my loss ... I do have witness to prove the above mentioned..
