Went out of my way to Sobeys to buy my high calcium, low carb yogurt, Complements Greek Yogurt. Guess what they did not have. Grrrrr. Asked for the price of the lobster in the tank. Really nice dude behind the meat counter looked for his manager who said we had to ask the seafood manager, who was no where to be found. Other than that we found everything else we wanted. Stuff happens.

Me and boyfriend were checking out this afternoon just getting some groceries for dinner. We get in line and wait for the person in front of us to be finished with checking out. Suzana/suzan or something along those lines was the cashiers name from what we could see (half the name tag was hidden). She was extremely nice to the lady in front of us, making conversation and small talk with a smile on her face. When it came to our turn, my boyfriend asked if we could have a paper bag for all of our stuff and she didn’t answer. We thought she didn’t hear us and that’s why she didn’t answer but he said it again politely and she still didn’t answer or give a smile she just grabbed it and tossed it over rudely. While my boyfriend paid I loaded the food into the bag and doing so she looked at me up and down with disgust making me feel very disrespected and uncomfortable for a reason I was very unaware of. When we were finished we said goodbye and thank you as we as customers do. She turned her back to us and didn’t say a word. Again I thought she maybe didn’t hear me so I said thank you even louder. She still continued to ignore us and so we left feeling extremely confused and unwelcomed. We are from parry sound and do not use Sobeys as our main grocery store often as it’s on the more expensive side, so this was very disappointing and we won’t be back if that’s how customers are treated.

Stopped in to a very busy Sobey's, just off the 400 and Bowes St in Parry Sound. The store is large, so it didn't feel crowded. A benefit of lots of people Lots of fresh food. Produce looked great. I watched as soon as I walked in the creation of fresh Sushi by a duo of specialists. Seems they go under contract to make it on site and fresh.
Finding what I needed thanks to the many staff in the aisles, I picked up wine ( that I didn't need). Leaving, I grabbed a Dockside Magazine to flip through as I waited for the Water Taxi at Georgian Bay Marina.

I have consistently received excellent service and products from this store. They offer delicious, house-made sushi that is replenished regularly throughout the day. I also want to give a big shout-out to Don, who is always very helpful. I look forward to seeing him when I shop.

The prices are astronomical now. Ok, I can sort of deal with that. The cashier we had was rude. The first time she snapped at us I let it go, it happens. When you basically tell me how to raise my kids, that's another thing. I let that go because my child was with me. When I'm mid sentence and you're already greeting the guy behind me because he's, and I quote, "a little cutie"? That's a bit much. My husband walked out after the first time we were snapped at so he didn't cause a scene. We're going through a lot of trauma lately and really don't need to be treated like garbage. You never know what someone else is going through and a little bit of pleasantness goes a long way. I'm not going to embarrass her by naming her but, sister, you are NOT better than me. Don't act like it. You just lost your employer a good customer.
