I thought hard about writing this but had to write my experience. My experience with all Sobeys including this one is usually second to none- they have exemplar customer service from Deli, in store and final cashier checkout. Today however I went to Kim it was my worse experience there for the times I've gone.
First of all she seemed not to be interested in work so much so that she didn't even ask me for my scene card like what is the norm. I had to ask if she was getting ready for lunch or something she said no, shove my stuff to the end and quickly walked off pusing a cart out side. Didn't even ask about a bag or anything. It will not deter me but please train her or take her off of Frontline this is way below Sobeys usually excellent service

My experience at this Sobeys has been okay, but today I learned from the sales associate that they do not honour online flyers and only go by in-store sales/paper flyer. The cashier told me she checked with a manager and has had other people ask about this same thing several times. The fact that this location does not go by the online flyer makes planning a trip to a grocery store unreliable and a pain. With the prices of things, something being on sale at one store vs another can be a deciding factor for which store I go to. I prefer to be able to plan my grocery trips online- not only are paper flyers wasteful in my opinion, but being able to use technology to keep track of my household items makes things much more accessible for me.

I do usually access the flyers through a third-party app, but upon returning home I checked the Sobeys Sydney River website (not just the Sobeys website itself, but their page for Sydney River location specifically) and noticed they also link to the online flyer. I think if the store is not going to abide by the flyer, they should at least not link to the flyer on their page to avoid confusion.

I don't recall this happening at other locations, but I'll be paying closer attention now that I know stores can choose whether or not to follow the flyers provided on their website, and may just shop elsewhere where things are more reliable.

Pretty disappointed this evening. Drove 30 mins in to get some steaks and mini potatoes, and get 30 minutes back home to cook everything up and the meat was grey and had a horrible smell so it must have been dyed, because once the one steak was taken off the other it was just a pale grey and reeked. The potatoes were also smelly and had spuds growing, in both containers. So we drive all the way back in to return it and the poor kid at the till was pretty grossed out, so we were pretty shocked to see how unconcerned and full of attitude the older lady was that processed the return. She tried to tell us the potatoes weren't on the receipt, and sure enough my husband had to do her job and find it- without the attitude. We suggested checking the potatoes and she just said that's how they come so that's where they'll stay. The prices are getting crazy these days and it's scary to see what they're charging us for rancid food and we have no choice but to just waste more money taking it back. 2 hours of driving , for unfit food, a terrible attitude and a leisurely waste of our time and gas. Do better, if not in the quality of the food atleast with the people in customer service.

Well stocked, clean and friendly staff. Organization leaves a lot to be desired, eg. Don't expect to find all the dairy in one place, nor all the vegan or "international" etc.
