I fell in love with a kitten at Pet Value last Friday evening. I was told to go to the SPCA at 10Am on Saturday morning to fill out the paperwork to adopt. I was waiting at the door for them to open on Saturday morning. At 10am I entered the facility and was standing in the lobby for quite a while before I was greeted. Then was told they were not open and I had to come back at noon. I went back at noon and the young lady that helped me adopt the kitten seemed quite annoyed and was not friendly what so ever. I was finally able to go pick up my kitten.
I got a text message last week saying the kitten needed to come in for his second shots, so I replied "How about Monday at 11am" NO RESPONSE. On Monday before the appointment I replied to the message "Do we have an appointment at 11am today". Still NO RESPONSE!!! I hate to do this, but do you want these animals adopted or not? This is nuts.

This particular SPCA was very significant to my family. When we had to leave an abusive situation, we had no where for our animals to go, and yet we couldn't leave them behind if we went to a woman's shelter. This SPCA housed our cat and dog until we could get situated again. We got back on our feet and both our cat and dog continued to live their lives out with their family. There was never any threat by the SPCA that they would adopt our animals out on us. Many times a woman will stay in an abusive relationship, because there simply isn't anywhere for her to go with her animals. Thank you to this facility for "being human", I'll never forget what you did for my family.

Fantastic . Brock and Jensen adopted Dancer and I baby sit her alot so that she isn't alone. I love this little pup. She is so smart and loving. Unbelievable pup. She was Fostered by people in the Swift Current area and they must have spent alot of time with her. Thank you. Every pup should have this kind and generous start to life. Thank you.

When I first moved here 2 yrs ago, I filled out an application to volunteer here. The 2 ladies working there were unbelievably rude and told me they did not need any volunteers I never heard anything back about it until the ladybug event this summer,
and I spoke with a nice lady at the SPCA booth. Apparently, they ALWAYS need volunteers? This spring, we adopted a gorgeous husky puppy. Unlike other SPCAs, this was BY FAR, the most unorganized one we have dealt with in SK or AB. However, this one has had the most beautiful animals available for adoption!!
