Nice big store. Clean. Well organized. However …. I have yet to have a positive customer experience. Angry bitter staff. Today I was just trying to get a question answered and was dismissed by an employee who then walked away and seemingly got angry with my question. Should have been a routine simple yes or no. I have yet to leave this store happy. I’m not angry. Just amazed that these employees remain employed.

I am incredibly disappointed with the service we received at Staples during our recent visit for printing services. From start to finish, it was one of the worst customer experiences we’ve ever had.

Initially, a younger sales associate tried to assist us with our printing needs but wasn’t able to help completely, so she sought assistance from an older colleague. Instead of working together to find a solution, the older associate was extremely rude—not just to us but to her coworker as well. He simply handed us a piece of paper and a set of instructions, as if to say, “Figure it out yourself.”

When we went to the self-service area, another associate loudly asked, “Who are the ones that need print help?” We explained that we’d been given instructions for self-directed printing, but that didn’t stop the experience from getting worse.

We printed off two copies of our document, and they came out completely wrong. The size was incorrect, and a noticeable line ran through the middle of the photo. Frustrated, my wife and I decided to leave. Before leaving, I approached the associate to let her know about the issues we experienced. Her response? Dismissive and unprofessional. She said, “Well, that’s the nature of the beast.” I asked for clarification—was this an issue with the printer or my file? Her answer: “Yeah, sometimes the printers do that.” No apology, no attempt to resolve the problem, just a shrug and the implication that we should deal with it.

The entire experience made us feel unsupported, frustrated, and completely undervalued as customers. It was painfully clear that the staff were more focused on closing the store in 30 minutes than on providing decent service. Two minutes of genuine customer support could have made all the difference.

Ultimately, we left Staples and went across the street to another copy and photo lab, where we had an excellent experience. It’s safe to say we’ll be taking our business there in the future. Staples has lost us as customers, and we won’t be returning after this dismal experience.

I do a lot of printing at this location. The team always impresses me with how helpful they are.

Thank you to Jacob and team for getting the job I asked for done, when you could have easily said you didn’t have time for it.

Whoever is the GM, give this crew a raise to keep them. I’d hire them if I could!

I cannot say enough good things about this staples location! The staff are absolutely wonderful! I needed to print a photo last minute a few weeks ago and one of the employees helped me print one in less than 5 mins. Which sounds simple enough but he made it incredibly easy for me and was so friendly about it. The other two employees at the till were just as awesome and helpful too.

With Canada Post Strike Situation and People trying to pivot with Shipping options this close to Christmas, the employees here are doing a fantastic job! I have come in a few times to get Amazon Returns done and every time I’ve attended, I’m assisted as soon as possible and it’s done with great Customer Service despite how chaotic and overworked they must be. Great work!

I went to return an Amazon package through purelator, the guy told me he couldn't take my package because it was a little bit over size( It wasnt heavy) and told me to go to Calgary purelator store because most likely no store in Airdrie with purelator services will take it. Went and Google a different store with purelator services in Airdrie because i didn't want to go to Calgary due weather conditions.

They do purelator returns, super friendly and they also told me they don't care about length or weight. The lady at front was super sweet and kind...and no wait times !! Theu even got me some tape and help me out!
Definitely will recommend this as drop off return services.
