The owners are amazing and the food taste great. And it’s an amazing amount for the price even taste good reheated if you don’t eat it all at once. I love poutine more than any food and this is in my top 3 places to get it.

Driving through Mattawa on a road trip & decided to stop by Turcotte’s; it did not disappoint! One of the best poutine’s I’ve had: fresh hot fries, fresh cheese curds and yummy gravy. Medium poutine size was generous in size. Spicy chicken sandwich was great & not too spicy. You could tell everything was made fresh to order. Plenty of outdoor seating; very clean and spacious. The kids area had colouring pages, tic-tac-toe games and a large chalkboard!

delicious food!! went out for something to eat while on a vacation up in mattawa and found their shack and wow!! She was so friendly and eager to serve. We waited not long for our food and there was plenty of business so i’d say it came pretty fast. She knew nearly everyone by name which tells me she’s a kind, respected and loving lady. and the food!!! oh my gosh i had to give a tip after tasting my food! it was so good and her service was warm! Thank you guys! keep up the great work

Best Poutine I ever had. Fries are always fresh cooked, the gravy is so tasty, never gives heartburns like many does, service is friendly and always with a smile.

Nice little discovery! Poutine is really tasty with crunchy fries and nice cheese curds. Hard to find good poutine like that in Ontario haha. Cash only be warned !

Since I moved away from Mattawa, I still make the 1.5 hour drive just to get Turcotte's poutine. They cannot be beat! Danny and Tam have it down to a science. The service is great and the eating area is so cozy and inviting. Well worth a walk down the alley to Turcotte's if you are visiting Mattawa.
