Puneet and Brandon were really understanding people they have at this place. They explained all the necessary things about the truck. Moreover, Puneet helped me choosing the write size of the truck as well. This location has very helpful staff.

One star because they eventually rented me the van. Zero would be more appropriate for the ridiculous service. They needed an emergency contact so bad they called my 75 year old mother right in front of me just to make sure I was giving them a real number. Never mind they wouldn't process my rental without the app. Never using uhaul again. Ps the app didn't work so it turns out they can do it without the app after all! These companies are getting really disgusting with what they expect the consumer to do.

It was busy when I went there, since it was the busiest time of the year (weekend before 1st week of September), but even so the line moved quickly, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and personable.
I rented the van, and drove it 30kms, and the cost was under $50, so you can't beat that. When I dropped it off, it was so hassle-free that I was surprised to be in and out so easily.
One rep even helped me problem-solve when I was nervous about moving a large thin TV. It really felt like an exceptionally good experience.

The worker Karrar helped me a lot with my questions I had to ask. He was very patient with all my questions. He is very nice and his service is top notch. I am happy to recommend this u-haul if you need to rent a truck.

Everyone working there was polite, professional, and happy to answer questions. Pick up and drop off were seamless. Location in a convenient spot along bus routes, or there seemed to be an option to pay to park your personal vehicle with their location while using one of their rentals.

Booking months in advance means nothing to Uhaul and your reservation time will likely be pushed back. I did not get a truck (from 8 am reservation time) until 5 pm and to safely travel I was required to pay for a hotel without compensation.

I rented a truck from the 144 Charles St Kitchener Location in July of 2024...

By the end of the 1st day....I had a Load on the Truck as well as on an attached Trailer...

The next morning I moved the truck slightly... but then it started Pouring Rain... so I went back inside... In the Afternoon... I went to move the Truck & couldn't find the key... I thought possibly i had locked it in the cab... & spent the rest of the day trying to get the Cab open... Once open... the key was not inside...

The following day... I phoned Uhaul expecting to be able to get a spare key... but was SHOCKED to find out... that they didn't have one given that the truck had originated from the US.

The truck sat for a good 4 days where I didn't have any use of it... & in fact had to rent a 2nd Van from another business.

Ultimately a Locksmith had to make up another key that I then re-coded,

After finally being able to finish the work I was doing ...& returned the Truck. I requested a meeting with the Manager to discuss the fact that it was an UNBELIEVEABLY poor policy... not to have a Spare key for all Vehicles...

She & I reached a compromise given that the Truck sat for 4 days...

I give the Manager (I've misplaced her card at the Moment...) a 9 of out 10 for the way in which were able to sit down & work something out... I genuinely believe she did the best she could ... keeping in mind she still had to answer to Corporate.

Uhaul Corportation itself... I give a THREE out of 10 ... as it is a Ridiculous situation/Company Policy... NOT to have some kind of arrangement in place... so that All Trucks at any given location... have Spare keys.. Dave C
