We had to rent a U-Haul to move my father from Pelee Island to Windsor. We were extremely limited on time (we had to catch a ferry in a bit over an hour), which we had discussed with the GM Darryl during the initial registration process.

The first U-Haul we received died at a gas station about 15 minutes away due to the battery. After we called U-Haul, Daryl personally drove a second U-Haul down to the gas station to ensure we made the ferry on time (we had two minutes to spare in the end).

Overall, would recommend this location and to make sure you fill up relatively close, should you need a replacement unit.

We rented a uhaul for Windsor to Belleriver. When we went to the gas station, we explicitly asked for $20.00 and the attendant filled the tank. It was over $130 in gas. We went to uhaul to explain and were essentially told that it's too bad. We waited four days for management to call and say that sucks. They have a contingency plan for if you don't put enough but absolutely no plan for if you over fill. The entire fuel system is to try to scam people into filling their vehicles.

Hasan helped us so much. He fixed the receiver for the trailer promptly. He is extremely friendly and helpful. He also noticed and fixed a burnt out light bulb. I would highly recommend this location to anyone that wants to rent a trailer/truck. Easily the best experience I have ever had at any UHaul location. Thank you so much Hasan. Darryl was also very friendly and helpful. An overall great experience.

The employee name stuart W. behaves very roudly with me on sunday.i booked the truck on Saturday for Sunday morning at 7 am via mobile pickup. Next day on Sunday morning, i reached at uhaul at 6:58 and trying to take a passcode for truck after too long process, i didn’t get the passcode.
Then i try to call there customer service representative and they also didn’t give me any passcode after waiting two hours.
The staff came and i saw a employee came from side of uhaul (stuart W.). I told that gentleman that i have the problem with getting the passcode. He said that we didn’t have the truck even i have a reservation.

But all these i was two hours late from my job

Rented from London to Windsor. Left London pickup location in a truck with 4 miles left to empty. Returned the truck with a 1/4 tank. Uhaul charged me for fuel, took half my deposit, and if I hadnt have kept the screenshots and pictures of my rental original drop off I would have been SOL, as the sales person argued with me over the original contract clearly defined. 20 minutes later, they finally refunded almost $200.00 in fuel credit and original deposit. I wonder how many Uhaul customers have had charges assessed to them they had no business assessing. I was told it was the system, and appeared to be, but that system is design to cheat. Also notice they checked my truck in under a 1/4 tank.

He went out of his way to ensure that we had a great experience and I cannot thank him enough !

Moving is a stressful time but Daryl and his assistant manager made it a breeze!

I had an extremely negative experience working with HASAN. E at the U-Haul location in Windsor. Clearly this isn't the first negative review about him as per previous reviews. I rented a truck for a few hours, costing $62. Before leaving, I asked if there was anything else I needed to do, and HASAN. E assured me that everything was fine. However, shortly after I started my 4-hour drive, I noticed a $271 charge on my credit card.

When I called U-Haul to clarify, the employee on the phone told me that HASAN. E didn’t want to speak with me. After some persistence, I managed to talk to him, but he was incredibly rude. HASAN E. made false claims about cigarettes being left in the truck—something that couldn’t be true as I don’t even smoke. He also couldn’t provide a reasonable explanation for the $271cleaning charge, which was nearly four times the rental cost, supposedly as a cleaning fee.

When I tried to resolve the issue, HASAN. E abruptly hung up on me. His behavior as the assistant manager was completely unprofessional, and the lack of clear communication was frustrating. He even insisted that I return the next day in person to discuss the matter, despite knowing I was already four hours away.

I would strongly advise against using this U-Haul at the 2890 Dougall Ave location in Windsor, ON due to the poor customer service I received from HASAN. E. This entire experience was incredibly stressful and disappointing. HASAN. E doesn't even deserve 1 star.
