I have reviewed this shop before, but now that I have had some experience with them as VELOCITY TRUCK CENTERS (new ownership…or however you say it in corporate) I feel confident in saying that very little has changed here, despite the difficult transitions, and this makes me happy.

In March, I experienced a catastrophic engine failure on my 2024 WS 57X. Not knowing what’s was happening at first, I called in to speak to the foreman, who was in a meeting at the time but was able to get back to me within minutes. It was -30 C that morning and I was loaded with cattle. After a quick over the phone listen, it was advised to get safe ASAP, get a tow truck and they’d get a bay for me right away. I’m fairly confident in assuming that every department had wheels in motion before I had even gotten off the phone.

Fast forward through the boring stuff…including a shipping delay that wasn’t their fault (wait til I get to that shippers review…) and we’re rolling again with a new engine in place after a short 12 days. AND the shop made the best of the unplanned delay to tidy up most of the little warranty jobs that had come up (Daimler has the best warranty, hands down)

I did not have to do ANYTHING once that truck was delivered to Velocity. Every aspect of this job, from warranty to downtime insurance to someone patting me on the head to make me feel better, was handled by this excellent team.

I know what you’re thinking… that I have warranty so of course I’ll get great service. I mean, duh. But I will have you know that I’m a recovering used P*terbilt owner, and have received the same level of competence and excellence from this shop during those dark, trying times…So dark…

Lora-Lynn ALWAYS goes to bat for her clients to get the best warranty service available. I never have to worry about my coverage.

Everyone in the building should get acknowledged here, but the moral of the story is this:

Velocity Truck Center Lloydminster …the legal name has changed and I have come to terms with that…but this shop has built a name for themselves over the years that is unique to them. And it should stay the same. Forever.

This place is a joke. Charge me 16 hours of diagnostic time chasing their tail and come up with nothing to resolve my problem. I thought that when you pay close to $200 an hour, the mechanics aren’t learning off your vehicle. FFS Should’ve known better they were the same when they were First Truck center one big building of uselessness

Tell you what, these guys are amazing. I needed a sensor switched out with no notice on a Sunday morning and they took me in with a smile. I highly recommend.

Myself and my wife are moving from Manitoba to Grande Praire Alberta along with our pets 2 dogs 1 cat and a parrot. Our leaf spring on our trailer broke and we limped into Lloydminster late Saturday evening. The last 88 from North Battleford took us over 2 hrs. We called this morning at 730 as they were the only garage open on a Sunday that we could find to see if they could help us as we were now stranded basically. I talked to Adam and he told me to bring it in at 11am. I ran to Buy the parts. By 12:30 they called to say the trailer was all fixed and ready to go. Amazing service. You took a stressful situation and fixed it for us. We strong recommend them. Once again THANK YOU ALL.

Stay away from this business.Was a customer for almost 28 years. The last year or so the business has gone downhill. Terrible management in all departments. Just spent almost 80 thousand dollars on an engine rebuild and my truck is still not running properly. They do not stand behind their parts for warranty. Just keep replacing parts
at the owners cost.

We had a very unfortunate experience when driving through lloydminister (regular gas put into our diesel Ford Transit Conversion van), fortunately Robert from First Truck became involved within 20 minutes and helped us fix the problem and get us back on the road in an hour. He took the time to access the issue and then fix it, even though they were busy and short staff. Robert and all of the staff we encountered at First Truck were caring, professional and helpful. I would highly recommend this business!!!

Everyone here is excellent. I went in and said “I need help”. It wasn’t a truck issue at all but the used engine I had picked up elsewhere had come unsecured and tipped over in the back of my pickup and I was 4 hours away from home. They secured it properly and gave me a coffee for the road! The service was excellent, quick and so very kind!
