If you are looking for a caring, professional company with excellent communication then you had better keep looking, because Viamar is not that company.

I was quoted for 200 cubic feet of household goods (on a 7’x4’x7’ pallet) I marked the area in the garage and packed exactly in those measurements, because I didn’t want to have to pay more for going over our allotted amount. (so imagine my surprise when I got a bill for going over our allotted space ~ which you can’t argue with when you weren’t the one packing it, and didn’t receive any photos showing the overage… fine)

Viamar picked up 47 items from our house in Canada, and delivered 46 items to Scotland. (where is the missing box ~ no one knows)

It took 3 months from door to door. (pick up July 4, ETA August 29th, actually delivery date October 2nd…)

With next to no communication between the July 4th pick up to the October 2nd Delivery. (other than our emails and phone calls to them trying to figure out what the delays were)

When the truck arrived with our items, every single box was tossed all around the back of the truck (my husband made a comment, and the reply was “we had it secured with a rope, but the rope must have broken…”)

Every single box was damaged ~ either ripped or crushed. (see photos of how the boxes left our house in Canada VS how they arrived in Scotland. Thankfully I had wrapped each box in green plastic wrap, otherwise the contents of the boxes would have been all over the place)

Upon opening the boxes, we noticed a few things were broken (I mean how could they not be with the state of the boxes…)

7 picture frames, a clock, a toolbox, 2 kitchen storage containers, 11 plastic storage containers, and 2 small sculptures were all broken (I thought, “its ok ~ Afterall we paid for the $20,000 insurance coverage”…. Nope ~ that only covers total loss of all of your belongings.)

Last communication from them was October 9, 2024, Review posted October 23, 2024. (I responded to their email on October 9th,, no response to that, or the follow up email that I sent on October 20th … I am not holding my breath for any sort of response or resolution from them)

One of the boxes that we did receive had someone else’s name and contact information on it. (how does that even happen? Our belongings, in our box, with someone else's name on it…)

When I asked about the missing box, they offered to check their Toronto warehouse (never heard back from them about that, and if they can’t find it in Toronto shouldn’t they start looking in Quebec where the boxes set sail? Or in Rotterdam where they were first searched by customs? Or in England where they were again searched by customs? Or in Glasgow where they got into the truck to travel to our house?)

Just a disorganized mess from start to finish ~ and won’t be recommending this company to anyone in the future.

Shipped my car from Canada to Saudi Arabia towards end of June. I’ve opted for a shared container to reduce costs. I was able to track the container as it travelled through the planned route. It arrived on time and received in a great shape. Highly recommend this company. Bruno was responsive and very easy to work with. Will definitely work with them for future needs.

We used Viamar Scilla Transport International Inc. to ship our household from Germany to Canada. Everything was perfect. Viamar Scilla took care of everything door to door to a great price. We had no problem with customs because the paperwork was perfect, and the shipment was faster than we expected. At this point we would like to thank Bruno Fortugno for his quick and professional responses. He answered every question within an hour and coordination per email was just like writing per text. Through this help we arrived on Saturday, went to customs on Monday and received our household on Tuesday. Thank you very much again!

Warning: Avoid This Moving Company at All Costs

I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with this moving company. From start to finish, their service was nothing short of fraudulent.

First and foremost, they completely disregarded the original agreement and charged significantly more than what was initially quoted. Despite signing a contract, they breached it without any hesitation. The service they promised was never fully delivered, and they left us scrambling at the last minute.

I specifically hired them for door-to-door delivery, which included assembly and debris removal. However, just 10 hours before delivery, they informed me that they couldn’t provide these services. This left me in a bind, forcing me to hire people myself to assemble my furniture and remove the debris.

To make matters worse, many of my belongings arrived broken. The lack of care and professionalism was evident throughout the entire process. After taking our money, they failed to provide the services we paid for. They kept us in the dark, offering no updates or communication. It wasn’t until after our shipment had already left that they sent an outrageous invoice, which was much higher than what we were led to believe.

What’s even more distressing is that they failed to pay the shipping line, despite the fact that I had a contract for door-to-door delivery. The shipping line is now sending me emails, stating that they haven’t been paid. This company not only caused me significant financial loss but also immense mental stress. They left me completely stranded, and their heartlessness and unprofessionalism are beyond words.

If anyone doubts this review, I am happy to exchange emails between me and the company to show just how unprofessional and uncaring these people are.

This company is dishonest, unreliable, and untrustworthy. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere. Save yourself the headache and find a moving company that will actually honor their commitments, treat your belongings with care, and respect you as a customer.

Before and after photos of Viamar handling my car. After I received the car with scratches all over and deflated tiers, I tried to reach out several times and they didn't even bother to respond. Really unprofessional. Does this look like an acceptable condition to receive a car in? At least 2000 dollars in damage, and I lost 2 hours at the port trying to inflate the tires. Absolutely disgraceful...

VIAMAR is by far the best international shipping company, especially if you’re planning to send your vehicle to Europe or Turkey. It's definitely worth contacting VIAMAR for a quote. I sent my vehicle to Turkey with VIAMAR. Mr. Bruno and his team did an incredible job, and I received my vehicle in Izmir, Turkey, without even the slightest scratch. There was a few weeks’ delay, but that was due to the ship carrying the container. Bruno was always ready to provide updates, and whenever I called, he responded promptly, answering every question with patience and courtesy. Unfortunately, I had to choose another company for my vehicle's return to Canada since VIAMAR doesn’t handle shipping in that direction. However, VIAMAR assisted with picking up my vehicle from the CN terminal in Alberta, unloading it from the container, and taking care of other procedures. As always, they were incredibly helpful. The company that brought my vehicle from Turkey provided terrible service, and I was very dissatisfied. VIAMAR was three times better in both price and service. Thank you, Mr. Bruno and the VIAMAR team!

I’ve been dealing with Bruno at Viamar for 5 years now, they are the best transport inc I’ve ever dealt with in terms of price and quality of work!
Highly organised, very punctual, fast service. Friendly, flexible and helpful staff. Very professional, unlike other companies that I have tried, Bruno and his team know what they Do!
My cars always arrive within the agreed time frame, I never had issues with my shipped cars like damage or scratches.
I highly recommend it, it’s my first and best choice.
They deserve more than 5 stars!

DO NOT SHIP WITH VIAMAR!!

They do not care about you or your stuff and they are very unprofessional. It started off fine, I was given a quote for shipping some household goods by a broker (not that much stuff in comparison to a car or a furniture to fill a house). They hooked me in with the quote which sounded quite reasonable. After I agreed and signed the papers, they were very hard to get a hold of. They wouldn't respond to my emails or give me much information about how long it would take, what I could expect etc. Then almost two months later they send me an invoice that is double the amount they quoted after I had already paid. While I understand there can be additional fees, this felt like a cash grab to make more money. When I asked them to break it down for me and explain how it was that it was double the amount they didn't respond to any of my questions and were extremely unhelpful in this stressful situation as I had budgeted for a cost around their original quote. They also didn't register of one of my first payments.
They lack any customer support or empathy. For someone who is on a budget I feel scammed. They DO NOT care, they only want to make money, I really do not recommend! I had a terrible and stressful experience with them. The only thing that was somewhat positive is they packed everything up for me relatively well.
