This review is for city parking not the beach. Wasaga beach started offering local resident free parking and to make up the lose, they doubled the parking fee for visitors, we haven’t been there last year, will see about this year. It’s sad just like Barrie, you are deter visitors, if that’s what you want to do, have at it.

Figuring out how to use the parking website to pay is baffling. Then realized I have out of province plates, so didn’t pay. Parking tickets out of province are unenforceable.

A lot of parking options. Nice, long and flat beach. Very family friendly and comfortable water temperatures in August. If you're hungry, no problem, plenty to choose from.

$1/20 minutes, $15 maximum, $6 minimum. Expensive considering the town is pretty empty in May and that there is no short term parking option. If you need less time, on street parking is $2 for half an hour.

Would have given it 5 stars as it is our favourite beach that we visit every year and my kids love it! But parkers be warned, the municipal parking meter at the beach wasn't working during our visit so I called the bylaw office to be told I could go online and pay using the honk app and they were aware the meter wasn't working. So I paid the daily max using the honk app and had the correct lot number...only to come back to my car with a parking ticket on my windshield stating there wasn't a valid paid parking slip displayed on my dash. $50 ticket....how do you display an online purchase And if online payment is an option why aren't the bylaw officers equipped to check it? Now I'm told I have to contest my ticket...
UPDATE. I was told to email copy of my honk receipt with a copy of my ticket and due to the proof of payment my ticket was reversed! Yah!
