Ordered a phone from koodomobile. They confirmed that the phone has been shipped via WEST DIRECT and provided with a tracking number. The tracking tool on their website did not find any packages. Gave them a call and they confirmed the package is out for delivery and will be delivered today by 9pm. So I stayed all day at home, cancelled all by activities because it must be delivered in person. And guess what - nobody showed up until 9pm. Just wasted entire Saturday.

They steal directly from the firms they serve while providing horrendous service.
They're known as the pirates of the industry.

Just to clarify, not all of your couriers are thieves. My apologies to the honest ones within your company....
I'll provide examples of reoccurring theft that happens daily at West Direct.

Example 1: Wait Time.
Typically, it doesn't take 10-15-30 mins to deposit a chq at a bank. It takes roughly 3-6 minutes. Many West Direct couriers will exaggerate this Wait Time drastically, thus costing the client more money in addition to slowing down the work.
It's the reason why a $4 trip with West Direct changes into a $9 trip when the billing is done.

Example 2: Wrong Addresses.
In this industry, it's not uncommon for a business to change locations. West Direct dispatch and West Direct couriers are aware of these address changes immediately as this is the business they are in. If the sender mistakingly uses the wrong address, West Direct will now double charge the sender accordingly. This will now turn a $10 trip to a $20 trip and slow the process down to the point the receiver may not get the item when needed.

Example 3: Time Calls.
Some larger clients located at Bankers Hall and 8th Ave Place require a mailroom to process the courier work. West Direct will deliberately have a courier show up at the mailroom when the item isn't ready in order to double charge the client. This turns a $5 charge into a $10 charge and, more importantly, slows the arrival time of the item drastically.

West Direct is one of the largest courier companies in Calgary. Their entire platform is designed around ripping off the client. How about spending some time investigating the obvious daily theft within, Owner, I understand "truths hurt," but I sincerely encourage you to investigate the problem within your company.
